An Honor for a Scranton Resident Who Helps the Special Needs Children
Beverly Peffer, a Scranton resident has been Nominated “National Poetry Ambassador 2006” by the International Library of Poetry. As Ambassador, she has chosen to dedicate these select poems written for the Autism Community, in hopes to help the understanding of looking inside oneself and to give hope. While she has made this accomplishment not only in poetry, she is also one of the Founders of “The Pocono Equestrian Center,” a therapeutic riding program for Special Needs Children which has been an incredible asset to the community and appears to be the hope for these families and others in the future.
April is Autism month as well as National Poetry Month. Writing poetry most of her life was and is a way of expression. In doing this, Poems have been published in the International Library of Who’s Who in Poetry and Invoking the Muse of The International Library of Poetry.
If any one would like to inquire about purchasing these selected poems for a $5.00 contribution, which would benefit “Autistic Children’s Therapeutic Riding Programs” at The Pocono Equestrian Center (a nonprofit organization.)
